Who’s thevenom?
Engineer by background. Tinkerer by nature. Serial starter of projects that were supposed to be simple.
I’ve spent over 20 years working in engineering and technology, mostly around instrumentation, measurement and solving problems that don’t always have straightforward answers.
Outside of work? Well, that’s where things get interesting.
I’ve always been fascinated by how things work. Software, electronics, astronomy, radio, building things, taking things apart, and occasionally disappearing down a rabbit hole that started with a perfectly innocent Google search.
I’m the sort of person who thinks “Surely I could build something that does that?” and then spends the next few evenings finding out.
Some ideas turn into proper projects. Some turn into experiments. Others end up teaching me something completely unexpected.
That’s really why this website exists.
I enjoy making things, particularly tools that solve little problems, make something easier or are simply interesting to play with.
And rather than leave them sitting on my computer, I figured I might as well share them.
No subscriptions. No premium features. No accounts. No nonsense.
Just free tools, built out of curiosity, for anyone who might find them useful.
So, why “thevenom”?
Nothing particularly mysterious, I’m afraid.
It’s an old gaming tag from years ago that somehow followed me into adulthood. After all this time, it would feel strange using anything else.
I suppose some things just stick.
What’s next?
Absolutely no idea. And that’s half the fun.
One week it might be something technical, the next something completely unrelated. If I find it interesting enough to build, there’s a reasonable chance it’ll end up here.
Built for the fun of figuring things out. Shared because, well, why not?
